Paloma Clay Designs is a small, Latina, woman-owned business. It is a handmade jewelry business rooted in creativity and intention. Every piece is crafted in small batches by hand — shaped from polymer clay, finished with care, and made to be worn and loved.
We believe that jewelry is more than decoration. The right piece can shift how you carry yourself through a day — a small, wearable reminder that you chose something beautiful, just for you. That belief is at the heart of everything we make.

Handmade with intention — Every piece is made by hand in small batches. No molds, no mass production. Each one is unique by nature, carrying the slight variations that only come from being made by a single pair of hands.
Quality that's accessible — Beautiful jewelry shouldn't require a luxury price tag. We work hard to offer quality handcrafted pieces at prices that feel fair — for you and for the work that goes into making them.
Packaging with purpose — We use recyclable and minimal packaging wherever possible, because what we wrap our pieces in matters too.

I'm Sarah, a Colombian-American psychologist and mom to two little ones, based in the DC/Northern Virginia area. My home studio is where I go when the day's noise finally settles. I work late into the night after the kids are in bed, or in those rare extended pockets of quiet to just create.
Paloma Clay was born out of a quiet need — a need for a creative and therapeutic outlet. Years ago, I started working with polymer clay as a hobby and a way to unwind during my PhD. I fell in love with it immediately. I loved the slowness of it, the way it forced me to be fully present, the satisfaction of making something real with my hands.
The name Paloma is close to my heart in two ways. In Spanish, paloma means dove — a word that carries softness, peace, and intention, which is exactly what I try to bring to every piece I make. It's also the middle name of my niece, someone who reminds me that the most meaningful things in life are worth creating with care.
I love experimenting with new techniques and styles, which is why my work spans two worlds. Some pieces are more whimsical and romantic, like lush sculptural florals, mauve roses paired with baroque pearls, bold blooms layered petal by petal onto hand-shaped medallions. Others are clean and architectural. What connects them is intention. Every piece has a point of view.
I create each design in only one or two versions, so every piece is truly unique to whoever wears it. No mass production. Just small batches made slowly, and with purpose.
You'll find me at local markets across Northern Virginia and DC, and always here online. Whether it's a ready-made piece or a custom commission, I'd love to make something for you.
Interchangeable Earring Collection
Every charm is handcrafted in small batches, using polymer clay, acrylic paint, and resin.Because each batch is limited, some designs come in a few pairs while others are one-of-a-kind — once they're gone, they're gone. New styles are added regularly, so it's worth checking back.
Questions about fit, pairing charms with your hoops, or anything else? Reach out any time — happy to help.
*Please add hoops to the cart if you do not have your own hoops.
Mix and match your earrings depending on your mood or outfit. Our polymer clay charms are made to slide right onto dainty hoops, so you can switch up your look in seconds — no new earrings required, just a new charm. Hoops and charms are sold separately, which means you can build a little collection over time and mix and match as you go. Already have hoops you love? You're welcome to purchase charms on their own.

A molten ribbon of gold, twisted and looped like it's still moving, set atop a wavy black clay piece. Sculptural and chic.
